2010년 1월의 미국 자동차 판매보고가 나왔다. 최근 가속 페달 리콜 문제로 홍역을 치루고 있는 도요다는 전년 동기비 판매는 16%나 감소했다. 반면, 미국 디트로이트 3사 중 GM은 14% 증가, Ford는 25%로 대폭 증가했으나 Chrysler는 8% 감소로 초라한 실적을 보였다.
한편, 현대차 그룹은 52,626대를 판매 2009년 1월의 46,608대 보다 13%가 증가해 전체 평균 증가율 6%보다 두배 이상 증가율을 보였다.
일본의 닛산은 16% 증가, 스바루도 28% 증가했으나 혼다는 5% 감소했다. VW은 1월 판매가 40% 증가. 다임러 26%증가.
